Water Action Day
The Green School’s committee hosted an action day for their Water flag on December 10th. The day was a huge success. Congratulations to all the students and teachers involved. A Water Fair was set up in the small hall and each class had the opportunity to wander around the hall and learn about saving water from the various posters, displays and games presented so capably by the Green School’s committee members. The day concluded with a Water Fashion Show in the Big Hall. Some of the children in the committee dressed up as a variety of household items that are associated with water and each exhibit was accompanied by the remainder of the committee giving an oral presentation on what we can all do to conserve water. The Green School’s committee hope to apply for the school’s third Green Flag in the coming months. Unfortunately, Ms. O Donnell has left Scoil Mhuire so she will be very much missed of our green schools committee. Ms. Brophy is replacing her and she is very welcome on-board!
