SEaI energy workshop 2014
Ninety students from varying class levels attended the SEI Energy workshop hosted by Nuala Madigan. The workshops gave the children the opportunity to learn and discuss facts and experiments based on energy.
The workshop began discussing what energy is and how our climate is changing at a very rapid rate. Nuala explained what fossil fuels are and how they are having a great effect on our ever changing climate. The groups discussed renewable energies such as Solar, Wind and Wave energy.
Experiments outlining an energy chain; how solar power works and how wind power operates are just some samples of the terrific knowledge building day that was had by all. The children played games and learned a lot from their interactive experience.
