Bhuel Tús maith leath na hoibre. Cuireadh tús iontach lé Seachtain na Gaeilge i Scoil Mhuire.
Children from Scoil Mhuire enjoyed many events during Seachtain na Gaeilge.
It got off to a great start with a Séanós Dancer visiting the school on Monday 2nd of March. Every class got the opportunity to observe and practice Séanós dancing.
The next few days children were busy learning Irish songs and dances in preparation for the Céilí when 3rd classes danced "Fallaí Luimní", 4th danced "Ionsaí na hInse and 5th danced "Sweets of May".
The Ceolchoirm took place in the big hall on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th where all classes sang two songs. "Mol na Óige agus Tiocfaidh sí"
Some classes presented "Nuacht na Maidine" over the intercom for the school during the week. The future of TG4 Nuacht is looking good in Scoil Mhuire.
We were also very fortunate to experience a Seisiún Tradisiúnta Ceoil in the small hall on Tuesday morning: Bhain gach duine sult as.
Tráth na gCeist on Friday 13th put an end to our great week of activiities.
Scoil Mhuire children also prepared for Aifreann Lá le Pádraig 17th of March in Cill Mhuire Church at 10.a.m.
