Boys Basketball
Training for the boys basketball takes place on Tuesday after school until 3.30. Scoil Mhuire defeated Naas by 1 basket in the first match. They were delighted to clinch a win against their local rivals St. Conleth and Mary’s in their second match. Not used to playing on an outside court Scoil Mhuire were lucky to grab a draw in the dying moment of the match against Kildare. Having been defeated by both Monasterevan and Kill in their next two matches the boys did themselves proud as both of these teams play basketball with their local clubs. Training will continue on Tuesdays after Christmas.

Girls Basketball
Girls’ basketball has resumed in the school. An impressive turn-out attends training every week with all girls really improving their basketball skills. Last Thursday we played our first match against a much more experienced team from St. Conleth & Mary’s. Unfortunately we were defeated but it was a great opportunity for the team to get some match time. Well done to all the girls who attend training. Keep up the good work.
